Kemmannu, Udupi
“This is not a room with a bed and a checkout time.”
Divya Homestay in Kemmanu feels like walking into a proper Tulunad home. Puja room, large hall, big bedrooms, a dining hall, a kitchen. Dinesh hands you the keys and genuinely lets you be. No hovering, no schedules, no feeling like a guest in someone else's space. The whole house is yours. Step outside and there is a river, a hanging bridge, peacocks, and the beach just a few minutes away. Not bad for a base.

It feels like a real Tulunad home, not a rental. Puja room, large hall, proper dining space, full kitchen. You get the whole house and Dinesh runs it with a relaxed, generous hand. Guests genuinely feel like they own the place for however long they stay.
Quite a lot, actually. The Kemmanu hanging bridge is close by, the Suvarna River is nearby, peacocks are a common sight in the area, and the beach is just a few minutes by car.
Dinesh shares a menu and you order what you want. Simple, flexible and no pressure. If something looks good, it gets made.
Families, groups of friends or anyone who wants a full home to themselves in a quiet, nature-rich setting near the Udupi coast. Also great for people who want to experience what a proper coastal Karnataka home actually feels like.
